    Combi Boiler reverse polarity

Can't see how the leads on the multimeter would make a difference. I had 230v between neutral and earth, why would it matter where the leads were plugged in

    Combi Boiler reverse polarity

That's just what I told the customer after reading Andy's reply, "call an electrician in to check the rest of the house" to only be told "I'm selling the house next year so I won't bother". Stinjy f**ker, and he's got 3 kids in the house.

    Combi Boiler reverse polarity

Hi sparks. Gas safe plumber here please be gentle. Just went to a boiler breakdown. I traced the fault to the room thermostat so I linked it out on the pcb board in the boiler. The boiler is working fine now. 2 year old B&Q combi. While I was there I checked with my multimeter the supply...

For the person with the shower pump switching on intermittently, check none of the outlets (taps etc) are dripping. And the shower pump should be sited in the airing cupboard at the Base of the cylinder. Check the pumpwise website if you are unsure on how to CORRECTLY fit a shower pump. 9/10...

    Immersion timers keep failing

Thanks for reading my question . What would cause these crap timers to fail in this way? The electrical merchant assured me the one he sold me was the best quality one he had (T104-c)

    Spur under bath allowed?

My pet hate - bath panels that are stuck on with mastic/take adhesive etc . And no I do t have electrics under my bath. I have a room under my bathroom but no electrics under my bath . The electric refs seem a bit lax if that is the case. And before you continue doing your own plumbing, I'd get...

    Spur under bath allowed?

The luminaries are not directly below a place liable to leak water. And fair play you must keep on top of the cleaning if the seals are still in tact. Don't know what you are "just saying" but one of the most common jobs I get called to is re sealing bath/shower seals But thanks for your...
