My customer complained about fluctuating temperature at the electric shower so I removed the said shower and replaced with a new one.
They still have the problem, and a neighbour has suggested it may be "something to do with the fuse box"

Can't see how the leads on the multimeter would make a difference. I had 230v between neutral and earth, why would it matter where the leads were plugged in
That's just what I told the customer after reading Andy's reply, "call an electrician in to check the rest of the house" to only be told "I'm selling the house next year so I won't bother". Stinjy f**ker, and he's got 3 kids in the house.

Just went to a boiler breakdown. I traced the fault to the room thermostat so I linked it out on the pcb board in the boiler.
The boiler is working fine now. 2 year old B&Q combi.
While I was there I checked with my multimeter the supply...
For the person with the shower pump switching on intermittently, check none of the outlets (taps etc) are dripping. And the shower pump should be sited in the airing cupboard at the Base of the cylinder. Check the pumpwise website if you are unsure on how to CORRECTLY fit a shower pump. 9/10...
Thanks. I know it seems that the timers I bought were of low quality but it seems too much of a Co incidence that 3 have gone in the space of a couple of weeks.

Have been to change an immersion timer for a Santon premier to210e invented cylinder.
This cylinder has a 3kw immersion element (240v)

And fair play you must keep on top of the cleaning if the seals are still in tact.
