    Samsung Fast charging Pad

Not sure on the charging issue, however could you mount it under your desk / worktop and just place the device above it. This would depend on worktop thickness and the range of the charger.

    eicr coding question

Okay, if not the water, what about the heat and steam? The steam can enter the isolator and condense on the metal in the backbox / isolator. Here's a picture of what I had to fix a while ago: Would regulation 522.2 External Heat Sources Apply?? 522.2.1 In order to avoid the effects of...

    eicr coding question

Being as a kitchen isn't considered a special location anymore, there is no regulation that I can think of, However in the electricians guide to building the regulations, it says that an outlet should be at least 300mm away. As explained in my scenario there is a potential danger by water...

Just had full rewire done, cables very close to surface or coming through skim

I know, OP was asking is it needed it. If not in a zone it needs to be ran in earthed conduit complying with BS EN 61386-21. I learned my lesson last time I thought metal capping would be sufficient from @Taylortwocities

Did the plasterer put a PVA / water coat on the wall before plastering? This helps the new plaster stick to the old. Once the PVA / water mix has been applied to the wall and gone tacky to the touch that's when you apply the plaster. Or so I was taught anyway :)
