    It's the weekend so....

Was there any particular reason for installing bare? or was it just down to cost / availability / Spec

    It's the weekend so....

Exactly what I have been reading haha. I didn't even know you can get bare MICC until I read that. Allways thought it was in an orange sheath. Allways learning, that's what I signed up here for :)

    It's the weekend so....

So SWA, Twin and Earth, MICC, SY, FP200 ext, Double insulated Flex, and Double insulated Meter tails would all be okay. But if someone (Not me) was to run single cores or bare MICC, then it would need Earthing.

    It's the weekend so....

Oops that what I was supposed to say. Exposed conductive parts require earthing. Extraneous conductive parts require bonding. My Bad :(

    It's the weekend so....

Wouldn't cable tray be an exposed conductive part, assuming you can touch it?? Exposed-Conductive-Part – Conductive part of equipment which can be touched and which is not normally live, but which may become live under fault conditions. MWC or EIC?

Appendix 15 states: An unfused spur may be connected to the origin of the circuit in the Distribution board. So I would stick with the Minor works and not a EIC because it's a addition to the existing circuit.

    MWC or EIC?

Minor Works Certificate, as its just an addition to an existing circuit and doesn't extend to the provision of a new circuit. Source: Appendix 6 BS7671. Edit, just re-read your post, do you mean take the cable for the socket and place it directly into the RCBO / CCU?
