    Working on a kitchen install. The ccu cover had one screw and been grip filled. On prising out I found out why. Then got to the sockets. Previous fitter had a lucky escape.

    Pete. that's why I was questioning it. Westward. No it is definitely two single pole mcb's but in the same unit. They have a second transformer with the same dual breaker. there is no link between the two poles.

    So it should be ok to remove the link between the two breakers on a double pole as long as the dimensions of the hole are the same. Thanks

    Hi all. Would anyone be able to tell me where I would be able to locate one of these. It is for a transformer and each mcb is for one double socket. As you can see the one on the left hand side is damaged. Thanks for any help. Malc

    My training partner is in the RAF and he has told me loads of stories about them coming in to repair things in their house and at the air base. They bodge the job then have to come in a few months later and have to try to do it again. And so it goes on.

    Darren. Yes all that is very helpful. Thanks. It is wired in T&E but we don't know what is behind the cladding. The building used to be a restaurant before it was taken over by the present guy. I spoke to Enviro health today and he said that as long as things are able to be kept clean easy...
