    hottub

Hi. By coincidence I was going to make a post regarding hot tubs and installation. To see what others think about the electrical side of these things. I'll apologise now for the long post. About two years ago I installed an outdoor socket for a friend, at the time he only wanted to use it for...

Downlights lath and plaster ceiling advice please

Best way I found was to mix up a runny plaster mix and pour it from above where you are going to cut the holes, then leave it to dry. Then cut the holes from below.

Freelance kitchen fitter doing electrical work.

We got a call from a customer saying a socket in the living room had stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Could we sort it out by xmas. The socket turned out to be a spur from a socket in the kitchen which was done about 12 years ago. I wish I had taken a picture, but inside there were three...

Anyone know what this light is called?

Richard- No it's nothing like that. I'm not sure when I will be back there but when I do I'll have to bring it home for a close look and try to dismantle. Thanks for all the comments.

Anyone know what this light is called?

Great detective work, and brilliant comments. The lad is my son/apprentice. It is some ones kitchen, and they do own a restaurant. Looking at the end of long bar at the top there is an inner part that is insulated from the outer, the outer is threaded so when it's screwed in the centre part...

Anyone know what this light is called?

Some great replies there. "Brian" I like that. Unfortunately there are no markings on it or any writing to identify it. I was hoping someone might have seen one in the past. Anthony. Yes, this one has stopped working, I can't see any way it could be taken apart to be repaired.

Anyone know what this light is called?

Hi all. As the title states, has anyone seen where to get one of these from or know what they are called? Sorry about the people in the picture. All the wiring must be behind the metal plate on the ceiling. What looks like the cable dropping down to the light is actually a metal rod. The live...

    Help to locate light.

Hi. Thanks for all the replies, especially the funny ones. The hinge to the door has broke and I can't see how it could be repaired. So the customer has asked me to try to find one similar. She is Indian and I did wonder if she had brought it over from there?
