    Hi Izzy I did do a test before I bonded the pipes to the MET,water was 0.07 or so,oil pipe was0.21. after bonding to met,both measured 0.01

    Hi chaps Done the job today,a 951 was ok,I got the external blue type,and it worked a treat,took it easy tightening it though. test all pipes and good continuity,below 0.01 ohms. happy days

    I know the feed to the aga definitely needs bonding as I've tested that and got a reading of 0.01 ohms,the other two feeds might be sleeved so your right they might not need to be bonded. my only concern is if the sleeping breaks down over time. thanks for the advice guys.

    Cheers for that. I did have a feeling it was the same reg for an oil pipe,the two supplies from two different tanks threw me,any ideas for a bonding strap that would fit that size of pipe (10mm) ?

    It's the fuel for the boiler instead of gas,so a 10 mm main bond is required as you would do for a gas pipe.

    Hi Never had this situation before,I'm changing a csu in a property,TT,no probs. The main house has a 10mm oil pipe feeding an AGA and a boiler ( I can only gain access to the aga pipe),this is being fed from one oil tank,the second oil tank feeds another boiler at the other end of the house...

    Cheers all,so as SS says if I test from MET to pipe work and reading is above 22.5k ohms I don't have to bond,does it make any difference that's it's a TT system? I haven't got GN8 will have to invest in a copy.

    Hi all, In a bit of a quandary,main water incomer is PVC ,from stop cock in property all copper. Now,do I bond the copper or not,read OSS and it only says recommends bonding to copper,I've been on other forums and had mixed replys,50% say yes,50% say no. Any thoughts?
