    Just been looking at regs for this. Using flexible conduit should provide strain relief and a compliant bend at the top cavity point of entry - that's where most of the mechanical stress would be (reg 522.8.4 and .5). It would also provide protection from falling debris (reg 522.6.2).

    It is an old stone cottage. Extension is well insulated and will have UFH (3 rooms). Currently heated by an old oil Rayburn at one end, a coal/wood burner at the other end, plus electric rads when required. So bit of a mixed bag

    System no yet purchased - we still have the floor to sort out (insulation + screed + ufh + tiles) Will probably go for Warmup StickyMat (150W/m2), or similar. 3 rooms, each with a separate element and controller. Probably go for Warmup 3IE stats, or similar - room stat in unit + floor stat

    4kW PV system - for the switch, haven't yet decide between Immersun, Solic, Intelligent Immersion, Wooldridge or Solar Immersion. Electric ufh: 3 zones: 1200W / 2250W / 1800W (150W/m2).
