I've never had any problems with the spit penetrating concrete. The only issue i find is choosing the correct nails for the job. It means i have to keep a stock of orange and black nails (Differant Strengths,) in various sizes and every job requires a little bit of trial and error.
I don't know...
Yes, everything on my shirts is embroiderd. I tried normal printed shirts before and the printing came off in the tumble dryer. For me, embroidery is the only way to go.
Another vote for snickers A.V.S. I have the 2714 model in black and grey. Really good quality but about £20-£25 each. Local company to do the embroidery for £7 per shirt, which has my company logo, NICEIC logo, Facebook F's on the arms and website and tel. no on the back
When you say they sorted it, what exactly happened? Did the provide a PME connection or did they just disconnect the diy connection and tel you to TT the installation?
Hi Guys, I was called out to a house in the countryside to do a shower replacement. The homeowner had already got the plumber to install the new shower, (an 8.5 kw to replace a broken 9.5 kw model) and wanted me to connect the shower an issue a Minor Works Cert.
I do all my tests on the wiring...
I havent used bosch in years, but have experience with makita and milwaukee. I use makita 18v lithium for all my cordless tools and milwaukee for my kango's and sds max drills. I've also used my a friends milwaukee battery stuff. My opinion is that milwaukee are a better built tool than the...
Thanks guys for the advice, i think i'll look into it a wee bit more. I'd prefer a 1 evening per week type course so i might just phone all the local colleges. If not i might have to go to england.
Just out of interest, anyone who has done the 2396, how does it compare to the 2391-10 in terms...
That's what i was afraid of, i don't really want to have to travel to England to do it. I could just about squeeze some in some time in the evenings but i'd never be able to do a week away, just too busy. I assume it was an intensive type course you did?
I really like the idea of doing it this way rather than a 5 or 6 day intensive course. Does anyone know of anywhere in N.I. that offers it. If not, does anyone who has done the intensive course have any opinions on that route?
I do have a good grasp of equipment, being self-employed you have...
I'm aware there is a project and i should be able to get some time for it. What is involved in the project? Will my mostly domestic experience be a problem for me completing it?
Hi everyone, i'm just after a bit of advice regarding the 2396 exam. I've got my NVQ3, 17th edition, PAT, 2391-10 and am NICEIC Approved Contractor. Its been a couple of years now since i've done any courses and i'm starting to feel the itch again. Am i right to assume the 2396 is the logical...
I try not to position in the loft if possible. I prefer to use a floor to ceiling cupboard in the utility room. In this i put my Consumer Unit, Fire Alarm panel, Burglar Alarm Panel and Patch panel and have everything centralised and easily accessible
Yes i do. my usual set up in that situation is 3 cat 5's from patch panel to t.v. point (1 for ethernet on smart tv, 2 spare for central distribution) 3 cat 5's from patch panel to local source point (for ethernet, phone or central HDMI distribution) and 1 cat 5 from tv direct to local source...
Not the ones i use, i buy from a local electronics shop but something like this should do.
Neet® - HDMI Extender over / Cat5e / Cat6: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
What about using CAT5E/CAT6 cables and using HDMI converters? I use them for all my new houses.Fit a patch panel and have CAT5E to all Television points, Local source points and Data/Phone points. Any point can then be patched as a Data point, phone point, HDMI point etc. They will easily fit up...
I can recommend Ansell Cobra for the Strip Lighting. Never had any problems with it and been installing it for about 3 years now. Also its plug and play so its very easy installed
you need a quattro LNB at the dish, 4 coax back to a central point. If you want to allow for sky plus at all points you need two satellite points at each position so you would need a satellite multiswitch with at least 18 outputs. Wire back 2 cables from each point to the multiswitch position...
