You can get small timers that fit between the solenoid and the solenoid plugs.
You can adjust the time interval and the time it is on for.
Waterproof also, we have one outside that must be 10 years old.
I can take a picture if you want.
I’ve had SmartThings for just over a month.
Supposedly it’s made by Samsung, but there is no mention of them anywhere on the box or instructions.
I’ve not managed to get any Z-Wave devices to work with it so far. So currently it’s a white box on top of my Sky box that doesn’t do anything...
It's to control the speed to match something else that is moving, but the speed may change, and is different every time it runs.
Budget is low. I'm wondering if I should just use a slip coupling instead!
This looks good:
Bosch Rexroth Encoder Feedback Card for EFC5610 - Accessories for AC...
I need to use a rotary encoder to control the speed of a VFD, so if the line speed varies then the VFD also changes.
I have no experience of this.
Usually I use Rexroth drives (not Indramat). Can these use an encoder easily enough? Or can you recommend one and an encoder please!
Thanks.
I run it in Unistrut quite a lot. No particular reason!
I think for mechanical strength it can’t be beaten.
The way it attaches to its special glands makes it very strong. I use it for power leads on portable machinery, people tend to try and more machines with unplugging them, which of course...
Yes, to the first part, your right it does get damaged tbefore other cables.
All the machines mentioned have been bought with SY, we haven’t put it in, only replaced like for like.
The rotating part I mentioned was the rotating platform contain the nip rollers way above a fiom extrusion...
Sorry for delay, it’s been a busy week.
To answer questions:
Encoder didn’t use SY, it was screened cable however.
There are no hydraulics or pneumatics on the machine.
It also isn’t a saw, I said this as I assumed people would understand what it was, rather than saying ‘travelling flying...
Incremental encoder.
No flickering lights.
Three proximity sensors:
Start
Another one, possibly to tell the saw to start.
Overtravel
Faulty earth? On encoder cable?
It’s fixed now, I just wondered if anyone liked guessing games :p
Yes, first thing was lubricate linear slides and ballscrew. It wasn’t anything mechanical.
Had an interesting fault today. Don’t know if any of you like working out problems, but anyway.
A traveling saw, Lenze servo controlled travel, Servo speed is controlled by encoder. Saw blade is controlled by VFD.
Problem:
Servo travels to over travel limit very jerkily when turned on & saw...
Even this shock only “f**king hurt”, no mention of being thrown backwards or anything.
I believe the second time he touched it was a similar experience also!
