    Hi, am I right in thinking that a Megger 1552 can’t test RCD’s at more than 1000mA? Therefore a 5x test on s 300mA RCD can’t happen?

    Thanks for the replies. Yes, I found AEC, they have s range of prices / times starting from £8 for five days up to £24 for 4 hours. Thanks. Also it’s comnercial but not mentioned in the report.

    Asbestos testing......

    Hi, wondering if we should get something tested to see if they are asbestos. Currently they (wall tiles) are considered as being, but life would be easier if they definitely weren’t and we were able to drill them. What sort of cost is getting them tested? Thanks.

    Round conduit box lids.

    Screwfix, never again. Thin conduit lids that bend before they are tight and let in water, and screws that’s gave badly rusted in 5 weeks. The lids have delaminated as well.

    Green neutral anybody seen this before?

    As above, on silicone cable the blue can look a bit green. The insulation can come off very easily too.

    Lengthening a vacuum power cable

    It’s worth mentioning that the end with the pins sticking out goes on the hoover end. If fitted to the plug end then it will leave exposed live pins when taken apart.
