Seeing alot of cases where I have seen 20A DP switches in a kitchen (for example) each feeding a radial 2.5t&e to each white goods appilance or similar, and the 20A DP switch primarys are fed from the 32A kitchen ring final circuits - Is this accepteble to BS7671?

I prefer not to allow diversity to cookers because on christmas day and special occations diversity seems to go out the window lol.

I got my level 3 2330 when I was 18 but not much else on paper. I had plenty of hands on expearience - but this is just words, again nothing else on paper, so I did all on my own and expence!!.

Is there such thing as a 32A (or over) 2-pole contactor with din rail mounting capability as I cant seem to find one??
Or am I likely to end up using a 4-pole for this???

Customer wants a multi way gridswitch to control various bits in the kitchen.
Few light switches, cooker extract fan, fridge, Washing machine, Dishwasher etc.
But they want a cooker controlled here to??

Ideally your best bet is to be part of a scheme, give one of the schemes a call, I called up NICEIC and spoke to customer services and asked what is the minimum they require to consider me to be on the scheme. They where very helpful and supportive in guidence (for me anyway). Hope this may help...
