Hello all,
I'm curious. Crabtree boards with their moduler click in busbar system. Does anyone have a trick to linking the busbar and the earth for continuity testing at all?
I am currently testing a 2 bed flat, all other circuits read clear. Flat Ring not so much.
Using a Megger MFT1721
L - E Reading 300Mohms but slowly
L - N Reading 400 Mohms but slowly
N -E Reading 200Mohms but slowly
Have tried breaking the ring and narrowing down the problem but both sides...
Replaced the spur and tested the cable legs and all come up clear in every combination. Supervisor has just suggested to pit a simulated leg in to see if its the cable or not.
So I am doing an insulation resistance test on a new flat and I get a dodgy L-E reading on the IR. I won't go above 20Meg and it fluctuates. Identified where the problem is and its a switched spur. When cables are removed all test +299 including the load which is 2 sockets. When all are put back...
I have got a new Mt1720 Megger tester and it measures to 999 Megohms. the old one my boss loaned out to me and my assesment testers only go up to 299 Megohms. Why do they go so high now?
