    Good morning ! Does anyone do EICR's @ weekends or evenings that needs a hand in the Liverpool area / Northwest ? Got my 2391 coming up in Sept and I can't get any practical work in and my day job is hectic Monday to Friday.... I'll tag along for free like : -)

    Thanks.. no I don't have one yet. I didn't want to spend hundreds yet, and a few on her suggested voltage and continuity testers with proving units.. but I don't think they will do my testing needs will they?

    With these meters, I take it you either correct or incorrect no specific reading ? In college we used the expensive Megger multimeters and we obviously get readings whilst dead testing. With these meters, I take it you either correct or incorrect no specific reading ?

    It's okay.. I'm scrapping that idea. Going to concentrate on wiring and testing whilst not energised till I'm more confident.

    OH I will be stupidly OCD regards the safety.. I will only energise for a minute and turn off and unplug.. it is purely to check my wiring is correct and practice testing.. My wife would love to whack me with a lump of wood though !
