Just had a quick look at Ener-j website and they look almost identical to the Quinetic version, a lot less in the range as well.
I think I will be sticking with the Quinetic gear for now!
Sy
Quinetic do have their own website but it does say on the very bottom of the main page only available from TLC.
I have been using it for many years now and had very few failures considering how many I have installed.
They can make jobs much easier and quicker than hard wiring in some cases...
As far as I know they are exclusively available from TLC Direct only, not sure if they are part of the same company or partners.
I have only ever got them from TLC
Other manufacturers are available but use a coin cell in the switch as far as I have seen so far.

As above,
I cut round the base to stop tare out then get a sheet of paper or something to stop damage to the ceiling and give it a wack with the handle of a screwdriver or a hammer, this should loosen it enough to turn. If not a few more wacks and try again! If all that fails hammer and shatter...
I have been using Quinetic gear for 20 years and had very few failures, in fact only 2 that I can think of, one was not so long ago with a fob and switch combo that the fob would work intermittently but the switch was fine.
The other one was a 2 channel receiver as the OP has which would work...
How do highly you rate this product?
I have some (not this exact stuff) and it's terrible, very shallow on the cut sides.
I've been looking for a quality alternative for a while, and using any spare from the Fusebox consumer units as that stuff is way better than any I have found!
Cheers

No problem at all HHD I know how it gets, all seems to blur into one loooong job some years!
I shall keep pushing for a swap as I think that would be the best way forward!
Many kind thanks
Sy
@HappyHippyDad
sorry to resurrect this thread, did you end up finding an alternative RCBO for these older NSB boards or swap the consumer unit in the end?
Sy
@Dustydazzler
I had a similar one to that with a metal handle across the centre, that lasted for years until the metal handle tore out one end, although that may have been due to overloading 😀

The plastic is weak the trolley is very flexible and as for the sliding mechanism it is very clunky especially when filled with tools. Oh and the payload is also rubbish!
I originally wanted something that I could put kit in to take into a unit/warehouse so thought this would be ideal, drill...
@RDB85
I wouldn't go for the rolling one, they are very flimsy and carp! I had one for about 2 days and took it back, unfortunately utter junk!
Stick with the one you first posted or the rucksack much better than the box!
Sy
@westward10 I've actually had a similar issue with them being inconsistent connections. Extended a heater connection with them in an ideal box and was getting high readings opened the box and they were good, closed it and they were naff. Ripped the lot out and used wagos instead, perfect...
I would definitely be speaking to your company, that really isn't on!
Make all correspondence via email so you have a record of your concerns and the answers given, that way you have a paper trail to follow.
If anything happens your name is on that cert as the QS!
I had been using Dimplex duoheat they seemed a good alternative but on looking at their site it seems they have been discontinued.
They needed two supplies but were a good heater and didn't look to awful either!
Not sure if E7 is still available but one of my customers managed to get an E10...
@WiltsFarmer
Generator wise again it's going to come down to size, none are particularly quiet, I have a friend who runs a fair size Hyundai 3phase set next to his unit and that's not too noisy. And a very nice bit of kit. He has similar situation to yours, only single phase available.
With...
Two phase is still around there are a fair few farms on it round my way!
To the OP, if the company that want to use The supply for machines you need to know the total load requirements to know how big the supply will have to be.
Using VFD's would need to be individually sized and fitted to...
I've said this before on this thread somewhere I'm sure. These are my daily use gloves, they have stopped me injuring my hands many times, I still have good dexterity and feel with them so M4 screws are not a complete pain to pick up, they seem to last well, with a wash of course. But I can get...
