Hi Ze at distribution board, how would you approach?

Hi all, Looking to exploit (please) those older and wiser lol. I was asked to extend / relocate a cooker circuit (6mm t&e) and did so no problems. I then started doing the minor works, R1+R2 came in at 0.05 ohms so was perfect. However, I then went to do do an Ze at the board and get very high...

Best looking class 2 light switchs

Hi all, The title says it all really, was just looking for opinions on the best looking class 2 light switches e.g. for a circuit without an earth, ideally wanted something that was a brushed metal type finish. Many thanks, M

    Push fit junction box

Dave, Thanks for the reply. The downlights will be class 2 and therefor double insulated and I will only be using plastic switches. To be honest I was not sure about this, so called NICEIC technical to clarify and they said that was I was proposing was fine as long as all accessories are class 2.

    Push fit junction box

The client does not want to rewire and wants minimal disruption. So I will be using class 2 accessories.

    Push fit junction box

Was looking at those and they looked perfect, only problem is they have to be earthed, the lighting circuit I'm on has no earth lol.

    Push fit junction box

The wago light box is OK but I find the box somewhat cumbersome. Maybe just me lol. The connectors I love though.

    Push fit junction box

Hi all, Was just wondering what you guys and girls use as junction boxes for installing downlights. I have used wago lightbox's along with Scolmore click connector blocks but was hoping there was something that kinda combined the two. I love the 2 part design of the Scolmore but hate the screw...

My first big job, made up of lots of little jobs, please help with pricing!

Hi Rob, They would supply all light fittings, sockets, downlights etc or I would get them and they pay me, I would charge what I pay for them. In terms of testing I would test as need be and issue minor works as necessary. M

My first big job, made up of lots of little jobs, please help with pricing!

Hi Pete, I tried to work it out per point or per item based on a time I thought it would take me, e.g. im guessing I could do 7 sockets per hour at £8.00 / per point that would work out to be about £56 / hour. Led lights I have basically charged £25 / point. wall light replacement the same...
