    I only replace them on my Fluke 1652 when it cries for new batteries (when the battery symbol stays on once turned on). Duracell takes it a long way for me!

    Hi, I have just come across a Plate Switch mounted on the wall inside a bathroom to operate the ceiling light. Is there any alternative fitting to replace it (to conform with the reg) without resorting to installing a pull-cord switch? Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Couldn't get hold of the previous PIR and none of the circuits is RCD protected. Even Zs at sockets came out with more than 32 ohms. Going to speak to DNO to check the earth.

    I first moved into a property some 20 years back and it had this sort of cabling then, must have been put there 20 or 25 years previous to that day. So in this case I can put down as 45 years. Thanks guys!
