Adding to an existing ring main, but no spare ways in the C/Unit

    Bonding and Plastic pipe

I think we know the answer there. .......but 2012 to 2023, I don't think I've seen a later response. Don't mention discs...a mate was trying to move workshops and waiting for the existing tenant to move out for 12 months.....thousands. a small portion.

    Black brown and grey wires

Yep. Black sleeved g/y as earth, grey sleeved blue. Very rarely came across the old colours with the yellows and blues sleeved, though. In fact I cannot remember ever coming across blues sleeved black for neutral in such situations. Before harmonizing we sleeved red for 2 way lights, though.

I'll agree, the system is a mess, but it's not going to improve the situation if sparks, be they PP registered or not, just ignore it.

    Approved tradesmen scheme

It reads bad, yes. My fault, late. Maybe As a result of things in general not being done correctly. or 'If danger and problems result, due to bad workmanship, Danger would not result from non notification but notifying is, to some extent, a method of taking responsibility for the job as a...

    Approved tradesmen scheme

There is a certain matter conscience involved here. Just because 'rules' are not followed or even ignored, doesn't mean they are wrong. It is a law of the land that many domestic installations, of all kind, should be notified. If an electrician, for example, wants to bypass said law, it is up...
