Pete's Videos Who needs a VDE screwdriver

Putting 8 x 1 1/2s into joists IS one of them! I worked with a noob who wanted to do up all the 3.5s with a cordless screwdriver until I told him that the high chances of stripping every thread and having to repair them put him off and he went back to a screwdriver!

    Meter Fitting Legal Position?

Bit of light reading Roly - makes me feel a bit lazy visiting my mum and reading her ‘People’s Friend’!

Pete's Videos Who needs a VDE screwdriver

All the time he saves with his speedy installs he probably wastes in the pub or on the bog! Ridiculous trying to be quick with everything - I only want to do stuff once and do it right.

    Electrician gone Awol

It hasn’t been answered how long he hasn’t been answering the phone for - since 5pm on Thursday night or 3 weeks? If Thursday night - don’t panic Mr Mainwearing, if 3 weeks PANIC (and phone his employer and tell them that you are worried about him and you think he’s fallen down a well because...

Volts drop when 2.5kW (ish) load switched on

I agree to check all common connections at the CU and upstream. So often over the years of the AC cycling can big cables become loose in their terminations - that’s why we all shout about double terminal screws all the time - probably wouldn’t have needed AMD3 of the 17th if everything was built...

    General RCBO installation

He was probably alluding to the fact that there is one neutral bar and one earth bar so not needing to make sure it’s one neutral bar or the other. I can’t see any willing spark putting them in haphazardly. They would follow numerics for neatness and ease of location.

You may need to explain your retention of said articles in a further post - or sell them to @westward10 , he just loves dressing up!

    Aftermarket van locks

But hopefully, all that raucous will wake up a local, off duty, armed response police officer that sleeps with a glock under his pillow who just happens to be not too impress by the rude awakening! Here’s hoping anyway!

Old boys feeling the need to go

I thought that was the start to a thread of using customers toilets for ‘having your daily’ but it just ended up the usual moan! A lot of DIY kitchen stuff is rearing it’s ugly head and you go in and try to make it all right whilst the project is 3/4 the way though! How about a thread about...

    Aftermarket van locks

I’ve got lock4vans on my NV200 and I was happy to pay the price for that extra ‘clunk click’ at the end of everyday (and during the day in some parts of Bristol!)

Quality work probably from Sunderland illuminations.

Probably some sparks kid using his dads scrap as a swing - he’ll get a belt when he gets home (pardon the pun)!
