    When I broke my right collar bone, motorcycle ‘mishap’ - I thought it would be an ideal time to learn to write left handed, 1/2 day in, I got bored as it was too difficult - really sums up my life that does!

    Remember the storm of 2013 I wonder how much damage was done to electrical equipment in that day. Our parents always pulled the plugs and aerial leads out during storms, now we just live life (and buy a new TV if it blows up!)

    Part 'P' notification question?

    Houses used to be ‘sold as seen’ - whether the hoops and hurdles that need to be fulfilled are good or bad is subjective BUT you used to be able to get a house for £30k whereas now that same house is £300k hence it needs to be up to spec OR sold as seen and priced to sell.

    Pound to a penny the lights were disconnected because of tripping an RCD and excuse given of not enough supply! Sorry that it’s happened to you OP, hope you’ll get a better service from a reputable electrician. The consumer unit is not nice to look at.
