I'm just in the process of starting a rewire in a 1930's house, and the new owner has asked if the old servant/butler call system could be put back into service. It's not functioning at present, but I've not looked into any detail as to why. Anyone familiar with how they are supposed to work?
Looks like that consumer unit (post #3) was changed last March - and what a state it looks. 63A up front RCD with Shower (32A MCB, hmmm), Panel Heater, Cooker and then all the rest of the house on it. Not that familiar with Wylex but that RCD looks a fair bit older than the rest of the board...
Even an SWA running through a bathroom would need RCD protection (oh what an eyesore that would be!). Don't see why a junction box requires RCD protection for a possible loose connection, it's not there to cover off poor workmanship.

Pretty sure it was Tony, who was a member for a number of years but got deleted and username change to that. Sadly Tony has passed away, but that petty insult of a name remains.
Have to say until that photo I have never seen or come across a dry lining box installed before the plasterboard.
PS I like that you have labelled every cable. One thing on that I'd do would be to have the label inside the dry lining box so it's still there for future reference.
PPS Why flex...
