    Wireless switching of multiple receivers?

60W tubular heaters to heat a log cabin? Yikes, they aren't going to do much. Are the cabins insulated?

Pricing for a job need help

From his previous posts @Brian Taylor has been a sparky for over 30 years. And mustn't have increased his prices since he started out. 8k a year take home, well you ain't gonna be paying any tax on £153.84 a week. Aldi is a tenner an hour, if you can get a job with them for 16 hours a week...

    Socket on party wall

Fair play @mattg4321 , I'd never have noticed that. Now I see neutral pressed against the back box and oversized earth sleeving too😆

    Socket on party wall

How are you able to tell it's a Click Mode faceplate from just seeing the back of the metal flushbox?

    Wago’s which ones or ideal

Cancel this...in my Wago fixing tin in the van it's still the 2273-203. In my stores it's 2773-403, so I've not been using them yet. They are a bit bigger

    Axiom dry line boxes

The Appleby deep dry lining boxes are frustrating that the tabs will only go to about 15mm. The Click ones are great, they go pretty much all the way back and the tabs are still in place to easily get screws into them

    Wago’s which ones or ideal

I hadn't actually noticed the change, I'd got a LOT of wago's in stock (so much so, 3 years later I've still not exhausted all of that stock) but have the 2773-103, not got the 2273 version to compare side by side but I've been using it for a few months without realising its different so can't...

Extending earth rods making minimal difference?

@timhoward 4 rods is impressive, unless they are only a foot long. Are you driving them into sand perhaps? Had a job recently where I got 4 rods in with relative ease, the 5th got about half way down. The area is built largely on sand I'm led to believe, and the reading wasn't anything great...

    The 'Electric gate' scam

Willing to bet there is something that hasn't been revealed by the OP as to why they are being charged the call out fee on these occasions. Seems quick enough to go to a DIY alteration.

Light switch 2 gang 2way with neon - UK

Click minigrid offer decent options for this - could either have a separate neon module or use the twin width module that has the neon built into it - either option would fit a 1 gang plate.

    Contactum cheapo gear

I like Contactum consumer units, never had an issue with them at all. For faceplates I use Click, wouldn't have LAP near me - just recently has to take all LAP out of a kitchen as one by one they started to go faulty and the homeowner had had enough.

Reliable thermostat switch to "Open" at high temps ?

Probably worth contacting manufacturers to see if it matters on the upper level. I've only ever had to be concerned with the frost side of things, and given our temperatures in Northern Ireland, I don't see that changing

    Maxipod (domestic heating issue)

Have you done anything with Maxipod's before? Is it gravity fed from the stove or pumped (guessing pumped given pipe stat) Been a while since I worked with one, I should have a wiring plan for them, I'll see if I can fish it out

    Rechargeable Green Laser Level recommendations

It's all about using the right tool for the job. I'm doing a new build at the moment that has 2 hallways each about 20m long. The chalk line mark is still there with no setup time required each time I am back. As are all the chalk line markings we put on on the bison slab ceilings on ground...

    Rechargeable Green Laser Level recommendations

I dunno how you can say it's made by an unknown...the seller has listed there details and it's clearly a well known household name. And this isn't spoof, its from the ebay listing in the opening post.
