    HiSpec aren't great, never fitted them but pulled out quite a few faulty ones. One of my wholesalers had a big crate of them full of faulty units that had been returned. Aico all the way for me, not sure if anyone else has recommended it yet lol

    I assume its something like this that's being referred to. I come across them a lot still and the cpc issue is the least of the problems, lucky if you see the cap screwed down, cable grip in place but will see plenty of brown and blue exposed. Dreadful items.

    UK What rate am I qualified for/should be seeking having done 2365 lvl 2/3 and 18th Edition?

    Is the JIB rate any use at present? They where agreed upon about 2 years ago...a heck of a lot has happened in the time since then. Stage 4 apprentice - At college £11.30 ph, on site £12.45 ph. Own transport electrician £16.73 ph. Approved spark £18.14 Own transport trainee - Stage 1 £13.43...

    The 3 port valve head should have no affect on the room thermostat getting voltage or not, it should go from the heating programmer to the thermostat.

    Are short electrician courses good?

    Turnover isn't profit though. A gas boiler install a week, 40 weeks a year, could easily be 50k+ of materials. 70k turnover now looks not so great.
