Write to her and keep all communications written, keep a diary of all communications. Appologise for the oversight in writing and offer to go back and remove the heater and ask for her to nominate a suitable location for it to be relocated to. If she refuses it appears the matter has been...
I agree, have all the tools but last made off an MI cable in 1986 as I recall! I wondered whether to just run a new tuff cable next to it, quite an old building so they are keen to retain the MI for aesthetics.
I may be being a numpty but here goes, I had three hours today to sort this out and had to leave it disconnected in the end as had other urgent committments.
Client has an outside light which is tripping RCD, this is fed via a fused switch from a rfc this circuit also feeds an adjacent fuse...
The most likely items which will cause this to happen are your kettle, iron or washing machine. Unplug them when not using them and see if this stops the tripping or monitor their use to see if the RCD trips when these are in use.
So after looking at the lights decided to just order all new ones in and give up on refurbishing lights which were 20 years old with duff batteries to boot!
I think I will pick one up on my way to the job tonight and see what happens! Have fitted them in 2D's before and they work fine, not sure what would happen with the emergency part but we will see later!:tearsofjoy:
Probably a silly question but is there a plug in option for 4 pin 2D emergency/maintained bulkhead using the existing control gear and batteries, if I plug in a 2d 4 pin LED bulb what will happen??:)
Today I got.

I charge for everything, every wago, every meter of cable etc, etc, in fact I keep a job sheet and write everything on it. However I do tell my customers I will charge any extras at cost.
A job I had where a team of itinerant squirrels had taken up residency in a customers loft and eaten all the cables! In one of the back boxes there were six cables, the person fitting it had crimped all the earths together and screwed the crimp ti the back of the box!?
What's this all about, keep coming across deep boxes packed to fault inducing capacity with cables, looks a complete cluster f*** to me, or am I just getting old?
I like Metrel and now have their new all singing and dancing 3152 XC, however it is really far too complicated but does everything has memory etc etc.
My first tester was a Metrel Easiplus and it was a really good first tester. If you can stretch to a new tester buy one as you then know where...
I have a system similar to yours although I get a fair whack from the FIT, I have a solar iboost and during the Summer if sunny the solar heats my water, we tend to leave the dishwasher and washing machine to run during the day if sunny etc etc. My solar iboost lets me know when I am in credit...
