This will never get legal..... I WOULD refuse and rightly so. Work has to be agreed . I cannot say to a client its £500 more etc .I've given a quote and thats it .There are a few things that are always mentioned to secure myself of any "hidden issues" .But I would never want to renegade on a...
same for me ...I get asked about issues a lot and I always say "Sow me the paperwork" . A huge amount of issues are caused by the old "cash in hand " mentality that the customer is also happy to be part of .And very very little paperwork SMS trail . So how can I say "its not good" when in fact...
"change all lamps and ensure they are working"
The issue could be this .If THIS was correct then its almost "permission" to carry out any works required ?
This could be a bonus point..... He has done un authorised work. Tell him you will arranging for a EICR to be carried out to ensure his work is safe etc and will be sending him the bill...... Have some fun with the guy , I hate people that cheat and rip people off :-)
NICEIC would not even break sweat if he killed someone.... they just collect membership fees. I would make life simple .One communication. Along the lines of "you must be a mug to send us this invoice, dont think we are mugs to accept it .In light of you wanting to try and mess us around ...
Its simple.... you asked him to complete the works you listed. Did he inform you in any way he would need to carry out other works maybe after a EICR etc and did you agree to them ? Also did you ask for a quote for the works YOU wanted ? Chances are he might be playing you along.... ask for...
Ive been twice and its excellent .From what Ive learnt its the "cooling" of the equipment that sometimes cause slight glitches . Ones thing for sure...Its a very well organised event
The UK's top employment lawyer suggests the very same..... and her sons are examples. There is NOTHING about them on social media and most of their friends all adopt the same thinking. The chances of a persons details been searched for on the internet is super high and a great way for anyone...
Dont dress "ganster" , no need for a suit etc .Just clean clothes and shoes etc . best trick. Turn phone off and do not use it whilst on the property etc .Even whilst waiting. Dont come over as a "phone junkie" ! And Given the Chance...DO ask a question.
Ive seen this work also well..... Customer starts to worry about "radio silence " and them still having some money they owe you .Some people get a bit paranoid about "what is going to happen" :)
Decide... do you want to work for him ever again. Could you get work from the client or their friends .One of them will be happy . work with that one !
The chances are anyone posting here ...their post go via China before its on the screen. China leads by some margin. Not because they are quick..its down to the west been so SLOW . The level of access they have over everyone is unreal. Read the "digital silk road" .And see just how WE let them...
Ive never advertised .I am paid to go to work , not answer the phone all day long to people I dont want to know asking me daft questions . Clients do my advertising :-)
The rent deposit schemes are very "Pro" tenant . And tend to always believe a tenant more than a landlord . With smart phones been almost a common item there is not excuse not to be able to form a perfect paper trail for any issues. Based on the Damaged door frame mentioned... I would demand...
Just have rates ready .As if they want you they need to know the costs ! I always explain that between 9pm and 7am . Its not based on "hour rates etc" as it fully disturbs the night and the next day there is a knock on effect .Also with a family every one gets disturbed . And as mentioned a...
