Shame, really fallen down from the elite 20th century standards.
The downward trend, I suppose. Many top manufacturers of the past are turning out rubbish in comparison. Like the trade in general.
All it's doing is upping the earth conductor size and as a result reducing the R1+R2
value and thus Zs. The earths will be connected together at both ends anyway.
Whilst upgrades and changes are always going to occur, there's no doubt that this is another reason for money making.... paid for, as a rule, by those like us who keep the trade going.
So how are you going to stop DIY work?
It's always been there, it's a fact.
You're going to shut all the sheds down, eh?

It is a well known fact, in the domestic trade, that some of the worst and most dangerous work is...
With all that's occurred, especially being advised to do that excavating by a supply authority employee, I'd be demanding a meeting with their Health and Safety Officer/department.
Something tells me that it might all get sorted out pretty pronto, as a result.......and as for paying that £2K...
It's just a case of taking the supply to the fuse VIA the switch. Hence being able to isolate the fuse carrier unit before removal or input of the fuse.
