    Changing a socket like for like is not notifiable work .so if you are competent and have the relevant test equipment you should be able to carry out this work. you can use a model cert from the regs book

    Nothing wrong with bs 88 fuses as long as they are rated correctly for the cable size. Code 3 for the sockets if they are not RCD protected . Could push to a code 2 if you believe they are being used outdoors. . Why do you think the metal appliance are an issue.

    If you run tray I would fit another run of tray over the top to help prevent vandals cutting the cables. Also make sure the tray ratted to be used outside

    Can you not dig in a duct along the fence . I wouldn't want to run trunking outside. You can run tray outside but if they are having problems with vandalism. This could be damaged

    If I do an online order. I request a quote first. Then my branch apply all the discounts upload the quote then I could order the parts. I find they give me good discounts and I like there next day delivery which seems to be working ok again now .
