    Crabtree Starbreaker config.

I had the cover off Buzz but didn't take a photo  The only Starbreaker boards I have fitted have had the MS on the far left.. no idea why the time delayed has been plonked in the middle...

    Crabtree Starbreaker config.

Hi folks. Wanting to do some work on a lighting circuit. Need to change to 30mA protection, currently 100mA S type... I know the Starbreaker boards can be configured differently with their busbars, but how! See piccy. Is there anyway to introduce another 30mA rccb onto this board, maybe moving...

Any recommendations for a light weight electric screwdriver?

I dropped the Wiha approx 4 inches onto soft carpet when it stopped working !!! o_O:eek::eek: 1567356926 I guess it's the little things that make our job easier. Makes sense to invest sometimes. I'm liking the look of that £30 Bosch jobby I must say !!

Any recommendations for a light weight electric screwdriver?

I have it back now yes. Took around 6-8wks to do so though. I use it not daily but a few times a week.. Useful in tight spots. I rarely change the bit on it as by the time you have done I would have finished the job with another driver. I wouldn't say it was any faster than if you were for...

    Quality new install

I tend to strip t&e using the CPC. I pull the CPC back gently and always trim the outer sheath away neatly afterwards. I have tried a sparks knife but never managed to get used to it. Apart from it possibly looking cack as per the photo above, I don't see an issue with it electrically.

    ever been kicked off site

Got kicked out of a nursery last week. Arrived to wire up a new cooker. Wanted to check the DB, school caretaker with the keys to the DB cupboard (from the school next door) turned up and his first words were had I been inducted. Nope, I hadn't so off home I popped ! Nice early finish ! Bloody...

Best Sparky you ever worked with

You obviously didn't have any ADT lads in your class then !! There were three when I did the 2330 and they were all a pita... Teacher tried his best with them but they were generally a bloody nightmare !

    Yet Another Dodgy EICR

I was being tongue in cheek there JK. I agree that it is not worth the paper it is written on at all, and this should not be paid for at all The schedule of test results is the main page we go to I would say for 'useful' information about an installation. Doesn't the 'tester' say something...

    Yet Another Dodgy EICR

That's how I'm gonna start filling in the test results from now on! What a time saver it will be! I didn't find the list of observations too offensive TBH. Could have been worded better but have seen worse. But without the test results surely it's just a visual ?!

Faces to names AKA Rogues Gallery

This is defo one of my favourite all time posts on here. It's nice to put a mug to the various members. Gives us all a human touch rather than the often faceless internet we all know these days.. Well done Sintra for resurrecting it.

Dodgy trade pictures for your amusement! - 1 Million Views!

They were all in the yellow bin at the top of the first photo. It had tripped at least three times, either due to condensation or the good inch worth of moist dust at the bottom of the CU. What is silly about it all is that it took a mere 30 mins to strip out the redundant sockets. Bearing in...

Dodgy trade pictures for your amusement! - 1 Million Views!

Temp builders supply whilst extension is being built. At first the mess of sockets were in a wheelie bin and the CU was covered over with a bit of tarp! If you looked up you could see the sky clearly above your head! This is a commercial premises and that board is a sub board fed from an MCB on...
