    Panel - soccer - light

A pressure mat immediately sprung to mind, and after googling them a PM7 type mat (which is more sensitive) is listed as being suitable for novel applications such as target practice.

    Is this the purrrfect chase?

I gave that a go freehand.... Did a terrible job of it!

    Is this the purrrfect chase?

I only use really knacked multitool blades for chopping out these days. Find they cut pretty much just as well, and gives the blades a second purpose in life ! As you say though reduces dust a bit and is less barbaric than a SDS.

    LED bulbs and price.

Telectrix and Snowhead - you have LED this post astray !

    Thoughts on this combo....

I have had three of those drill drivers over the past ten years but don't take that the wrong way and assume they are naff. I regularly use the end as a hammer for one, and it gets used, dropped and generally abused on a daily basis. They are a great little driver. Not loads of power but for 12V...

    Trade pics for your enjoyment.

You mean like a scissor lift !! Wouldn't want to give it a try at £1700 for the extractor ! The lower ceiling is all new boards, for some reason the owner of the property didn't paint that bit, not sure why.

Not wholly electrical as am also a virtuoso Kevin the kitchen fitter too! All in fitted around 30 spots, new board, new circuits times five. The extractor was a Neff jobby with a worm drive motor that silently comes up out of the worktop. Currently on a rewire where they are spending £800 on...

    1 day re-wire....

I think home rewire epitomise the term house bashing. To me he comes across as a cut throat business man rather than a spark, especially so if the liquidation facts are correct. Wouldn't want him anywhere near my house, and most of my customers would faint if I did that to their houses!

    Anyone tried these before..?

I got them a few months back. Not really for me I have found. Prefer my snips and normal pliers. The only bits I use on them is the long nose plier bit and the shears.

Whats the furthest you've travelled for a simple job?

Not strictly within what you are asking in your original post but the question made me think of it. I had a job up near Dunstanburgh castle, probably around seven years ago now. Although not that far from me by any stretch, the issue with this job was that the nearest place to park was around...

    12v drill driver

I've got the 12V brushless Milwaukee. It does have a lot of power and has made my 18V Bosch largely redundant. But there are a few aspects I don't like about it. The forward/reverse switch is not placed in quite the right place which slows me down occasionally. The switch between hammer, drill...

Pete's Videos Been on the pop then Lads, gave we?

I think that song by The Who is part of the reason I really don't like spiders! My big brothers used to taunt and wind my impressionable mind up with it !!

    CPN Cudis from cef

I would point out that in twenty years time the chance of getting suitable replacement breakers and RCBOs is less likely to be an issue with the likes of Hager. For domestic at least, and where they plan to stay put for a good while, then it might sway them. I priced a Hager 16 way RCBO board...

My gravity flappy lid Eureka moment for happy labelling!!

I did some work on one of those boards recently. Can't remember the brand but it was a sheet board. Seem to recall the breakers having a blue logo I think. Cover was held on with four screws because it was so flimsy, and I had to drill one of those four screws out as the spark who put it in must...

Trusted Trader / Bark / MyBuilder / CheckaTrade in a new area

I got myself to the top of the Google rankings for local electricians. Needed to tweak the keywords on my website, add a few legit links on there and get some reviews off customers. Apparently all those help the Google algorithms to think you are a good shout so to speak. I did initially use...
