Yeah and keep the price of the accessories high while they are at it! I don't know how long the starlock has been around but they have Plus and Max versions out already (a bit like SDS).
Cheaper copies will turn up regardless of copyright if that is a factor. I am hoping the likes of Saxton...
Are you sure it's not the other way round? Seen the adaptor to change from 'standard' to starlock. My old cutter blades were held in with a 5mm alan bolt, and an adaptor would have to have a deep threaded part on it..
I meant for dry liners. I think the blade SWD mentions would do it, but do it slowly...
And thanks Charlie, I used Saxton for years but can't seem to find any with the starlock fitting. I wonder if Bosch/Fein (as they developed starlock together apparently) have fairly stringent copyrights in...
I signed up to the scheme ages ago and I actually quite like the green colour of their polo shirts and wear them every day for work.
BUT I have not received any emails from them for ages for some reason. Just logged in and looked at the webinars etc but couldn't see anything about pliers... I...
I had to replace my old old green Bosch multicutter today at short notice and opted for the above largely due to the fact I have a fair amount of 18V batteries.
This machine is an absolute beast in comparison to my old one. It must cut through stuff at least three times faster than the previous...
I remember my college lecturer saying that when someone was urging him on to be quicker his response would be that it
takes as long as it takes..
Don't rush it and do it properly he would say.
Impact or battery drivers for terminating cables is not something I would do. I occasionally use a...
I have been looking at them for ages on and off. Recently looked again at them. The Stanley one that costs around £100 seems to be available rebranded on Amazon for £50 ish. The spec looks the same. Amazon also had another couple on there I liked the look of for £90 and £115 ish. But saying that...
None of us have (except the OP) seen the job though. The external run might be only for a few feet. The exterior of the house might be hideous and unkempt. The run might be in a side passage that is virtually never used. Solutions and their costs can be provided and the client can then decide.
Using SWA externally is hardly an 'industrial type set up'. SWA is used in thousands of domestic properties.
To the OP; the cable could be SWA, NYY or in conduit. You need to see which is the most practical and sensible for the run. Is the cable that is ran externally likely to get any knocks...
I have a Speed E. It's a gimmick at best in my view, with very few real uses in sparking. It does have some positives yes, but they are substantially outweighed.
A cracking little drill driver is the Bosch 12V. But it depends what you want to use it for as others have said.
Haha! The cable is not in touching distance unless you climb over a fence, and just behind the tree it drops down by
around 7ft to a small pond.
I might have to go back with a volt stick duct taped to a pole to see if it seems to be live!
It is a nice part of the world in a lot of ways. There are accessible sea caves and sea arches ten mins from me for instance. And as you know there are some lovely places not far away up north.
The new bridge is growing on me too. Felt they cut corners going for the cheaper option at first but I...
The screws are the fire clips Kev! The joint is what I noticed first. Should have had a voltstick in my pocket. Slightly ironically the part of the park where this is is also where the best display was last autumn. It was for a well thought out projector show. I can't recall exactly where the...
To me he has definitely got one of those faces..... if I found him in my house doing work I would politely ask him to leave. If he replied with a sentence longer than 5 words long he would get struck physically without delay !
Was with the kids in the park today and noticed some T&E snaking up a tree. Loving the cable clips. The second piccy the cable goes underground and reappears just by the small rock to the right.
Although it's fenced off I'm inclined to contact the council about it. Shoddy.
