Do you know what make & model this is?

I think a gravity system is fed from a header tank in the loft. I could have made that up though.

What's your line of work and do you enjoy it?

Recently mostly been doing Highways communications upgrades, (very dull), but on "paperwork" days I've been getting a bit of domestic stuff; outbuildings, rewires, outside lights, which has been enjoyable as a change.

    Steel Adaptaflex Cutter

I find a fine toothed blade easier than a coarse one.

    Clipsal RCBO

Could you implement an upfront RCD instead? Clipsal RCDs available on ebay. Failing that, Clipsal are now Schneider, so I'd expect one of their RCBOs to fit. Not guaranteed though. I'd avoid mixing unconnected brands.

    hydraulic crimper

Re: hydralic crimper If anyone fancies getting, ( not growing), a pair, we have a pull test calibrator test thing. I'm sure I could get a few sets tested if anyones interested?

    Drilling Through Copper Bus Bars

If a hole is drilled and tapped, then studded, does this affect the CCC? I'd have thought the bolt/ stud would in effect become part of the bar, but I'm ready to be educated!

    lamp colour for meat counter

In a past life, I ran a home delivery supermarkets butchery. The tubes used do make a difference, but I don't know how. Why not give a tube manufacturer a call?

Cable ducting under new kitchen floor slab

Some form of 25mm plastic Adaptaflex would be my guess. In my experience, their technical department is very helpful.

    Electricity meter

Following on from uksparks suggestion, if you reduce your tail size ( obviously not YOUR tail) to 2.5mm, you could have a heated towel rail, or even a heated loo roll holder! How posh would that be!

PS TB, hope you don't have TB, and feel better soonest. If Hot Toddies aren't doing it, go out on a lifeboat!

"Cure" for Spanish 'Flu. ( I'm sure that's what I have)

My bunged up head had cleared by Friday, but my nose was still a bit snotty. Got out on the Atlantic lifeboat a couple of times over the weekend, now no snot at all!! So, my recommended cure for Man, Bird, Spanish flu, or just a common cold that lasses get, drink 5h1tloads of whiskey, garlic...

    electricity-generating tidal lagoons?

There was a tidal "turbine" in Strangford Lough, NI, featured on one of James May's programmes a few years ago, very interesting. I live on Hayling island, and due to local topography, every few hours we have water rushing in or out on either side of the island either from Langstone or...
