Well, cheers tony, i am very grateful for the help, i will get one of these and set to work installing it! Would you reccomend having a 14 amp overload to protect the regulator? I would probably end up putting it into a DOL box, try and make it look neat(ish!). Cheers again.

Well, i went up to the workshop today, and had a good look. First i grabbed the old starter, it looks a bit beyond it, i dont think, without alot of work anyway, its worth building it back up.
