Hi,give us a clue as to your build up,to this decision.
How much practical electrical work have you been involved in? Any building or technical knowledge,SE work, kit or tools,or other info, may allow more accurate guidance.
You may have to brace yourself for what may seem harsh, curt or less...
Groovy....can't wait ? It may be worth identifying the coil type and wattage...some have built in diodes in the DIN type connectors.
Also, state if there is any provision for trimming,by way of any limit switches or valving, which will be apparent ,on any sequential use of a pair functions...
Hi ,you will need to show some diagram or drawing,to work out what is to be gained by the addition of any diodes.
I'm taking a wild guess that the switching enables simultaneous operation of pump and selected solenoid/coil,hence the need for diodes.
C'mon... who amongst us,having just completed a load of electrical work, and prior to switching the main switch back on,hasn't paused, and said aloud... "...Roll on one!..." ?
Lovely vintage gear? but it confirms that any possible tactile mishap, would have less of a tickle, and more like the dude on The Green Mile, with the dry sponge ?
Hi,if you have a spark visiting, then it is a wise decision to have maybe 30 minutes of his time,to sort things out,
Although in truth, the positioning and tightening of half a dozen wires,is not rocket science.... the assessing of existing arrangements ,and any previous or required safety...
Cheers for the reply. If the lift company have re-commissioned the lift, then no worries.
I would have the same interest as yourself,in such a device and it's problems, especially if of a vintage ?
My concerns were not intended to spoil any interesting discussion on the function of period DC...
Hi,in connection with the topic, might i suggest the OP ensures any possible future liability risks,in testing or altering this braking system.
Having had many involvements in similar devices, any issue or mishap,at any time in the future, will be firmly dropped in the lap of the last-to-touch...
Don't blame you,pal ?
I've been isolating,by working in the cold and wet, where no self-respecting virus would lurk ?
Got me old fellas 2nd vaccine done,Saturday...just need me ma's first, now, and can relax a tad...loads of pals and associates here, who have got the lurgy...?
Hi,when you say negative bus,is it the circular ring, with multiple male Lucar spades?
It may be worth confirming it's full connection with the vehicles ground.
A diagram or link to the system wiring you have, may assist.
Splendid news? what we need now,is a raft of whistle-blowers,opening up their worm tin of shoddy and fraudulent sales tactics, over the last ten years.
It seems cracks may be appearing inside and out....yesterday,i was reading about a fraudulent sales tactic, where BG were offering new boiler...
Agreed....it's a lot easier to find 10 minutes of footage,from 20 minutes of filming,rather than a day's worth?
Fair play to you,Lucien,to at least bring news of interest....been a lot of dull talk on other things,of late...apparently...?
Hi,bit late to reply, but will have a go...
Is the charge warning light/function working?
Has the vehicle charging system been tested in real time, with a suitable analyser,as it may well be some development of smart-charge technology.
The tacho will maybe have a running live,as well as a...
I managed to cure my access and storage issues,by placing a tiny section of self adhesive Velcro tape,on everything i own....and lining all interior surfaces of my vehicle, with felt.
I have also avoided the need for fitting beds, when we go camping,by having bespoke,Velcro pyjamas, made for all...
I reckon even if both cables entered together, the sheaths were together, both cpc's were identical lengths, and no future testing was expected....i doubt i would consider the 0.0003 pence saving,of another section of sleeving,a viable economy ?
