If the DC piling job taught me anything...it's that a point is for wimps...you want a blunt, not a point....how embarrassing is it,when the the weight of the 16mm GY,alone,is enough to push it in
I like the way he saved the entire top tray, for the hammer....all neatly cut out,for it's comfort, pending judicious, occasional use...
If it was my eldest son's tool box,the top tray would have his phone, protein supplements, and Spyderco knife, for use when needed...
...the hammer would be in one...
Hi,if you google john ward 2 port, you will get the low-down,on this topic, with an excellent schematic,of how the components, work,in relation to each other.
.....I've got a screwdriver story...this is my second Snap-on driver,it actually does not say "do not use as a chisel or pry-bar" on the handle,as all the early ones did...and it's a good job,too ;)
I have used this model for everything...hung a 1.2 tonne MagDeutz engine on a pull-lift,off...
:)
I built this set,in 4 and 6mm,added the exras, converters and specials.....then me pal stitched two tool rolls together and modded the strappng...and hey presto,it is identical to the one the Gypsy promised me,in my dream ;)
I nearly always ferrule plug tops....if not in a hurry
Some things have to be done,no matter what...even if only to get a reaction...never leave a shovel,laid on the ground...align screw slots,in furniture...roll a spanset up,hook on the outside...all good life-principles :)
Hi,could we ask what application this investigation is aimed at?
....just,if it's a want to impress ladies at a party...it may not be the ideal topic
Hi,i can not remember exactly what the barbed wire reading was,,,maybe 10 Ohms,i do remember it being less than calculated, but the Buzzcocks were playing, and that Mk8 had no calibration,so.....;)
A man after my own heart! Delete Facebook, and get experimenting in the garage ;)
I will describe a method of inserting a fault test-bed,in to your rig, which i made many years back. All you need is a piece of board or plastic,1/2" thick,12" x 4" with two, fixed 3 terminal connectors or chocky...
I have used the Rage Evolution type of blades,to cut boarding used around the bank cash machines .... legitimately....it is 32mm ply, sheathed both sides with a thin, bonded layer of stainless steel sheet. It coped fairly easily, but the waste material is brutal :(
For the perfect job on the OP's...
Hi,these automotive connectors, are in the main, single use,and do not lend themselves to refurbing, easily.
You can usually research the type of connector, and just make it a re-fitting exercise.
Sometimes the silicone seals will need removing, where the wires enter, and a fine hook-pick will be...
Hi,if that signal wire,is a signal wire, and nothing else, the only two wires left, are the power and ground wires. In a normal fan motor, swapping these wires, would reverse the direction of your motor.
The only two reasons for this not to occur, would be either some other electrical or mechanical...
Hi,if the small wire is indeed a signal wire, then swapping the ground/power,should reverse the fans DOT. The only problem may be any damage caused during the previous swapping.
You could probably test the fan using a spare battery and two wires, just ensure a fuse of some sort,10A maybe,to limit...
Hi,from a safety point of view,i can and will, say that your ground/earth connections, should be all grouped together. Usually where the cables enter the control unit, and connect to the board, they are grouped to the supply earth via the board. Sometimes there is a separate mechanical terminal,but...
Hi,so GM have designed an anti-theft system, which can be bypassed using a .4 to 12 K Ohm pot? That must have been an easy 15 minute decision,in R&D,then an early lunch ....
I would be concentrating on a voltage/grounding/connection type fault, then work forwards from there.
Hi, i would be careful, tapping in to the loom,as certain additions of load, will be seen on that vehicle as a fault.
I would use the opportunity of having any headlining or roof accessories opened,to check there are no water leaks,as these can cause issues,on that marque.
