    About 1m, I would be happier IP rated 1578744304 We have annoying children, outside the bathroom is NOT a good idea. My wife is an interior designer, she has odd ideas sometimes. 1578744456 Have done that before for clients, was just worried about access afterwards

    So we are refitting the bathroom and the wife does not want a pull cord anymore. The only contact IP rated switches I can find are low voltage or battery wireless ones that are suitable for a bathroom both of which may be fine for the moment, but I just dont fancy the long term possible faults...

    There are somes brands of rcbo that will not trip if tested at the board, you have to have a bit of distance for it to work (not much, a socket by the DB is normally fine) The MEM2000 module range is one that springs to mind. Just note it somewhere that this is a known idiosyncrasy of these rcbo's
