UK What’s the correct way to enter RCD’s on a split load board on a schedule of test results?

With dual RCD boards I just write the circuit numbers and details/test results then bracket them together on the right hand side as 'RCD1' and 'RCD2' .

Why do i need a rewire when i've passed inspection with no issues?

I wonder if this person quoting in under the impression that the older red/black wiring is in some way unacceptable ? If so I'm afraid you're dealing with an idiot.

UK Help with full rewiring quote

Here in Cornwall if the job is exactly as described I'd do it all to a very good standard for £5.5-6k.

Proof that it is possible to install a BG CU tidily.

In all honesty it's a very good job, it's very easy to find something to criticise when sitting in a chair at home. Based on all the CU installs I've seen you're definitely in the top 10%. :)

Should be much shorter and the other way round - but a proper earthing nut would be better.

Assuming the cable is long enough without having to put another box at the existing location. :)

To make the filter changing 'idiot proof' for want of a better expression, simply replacing the existing socket with a weatherproof unit designed for outdoor use would be a simple and inexpensive solution.

I only post pictures [and not often] on here to encourage good workmanship, particularly among the younger lads who don't have much experience. Honestly it's not any attempt to 'show off' at all. And I also wonder why someone would write such a long winded post against a decently installed board...

Nothing wrong with that, nearly as good as mine. :)

But the board has just been replaced, and with spare ways too. So it'll be a long, long time before renewal is necessary again.

Ferrules would have been ideal but this board was installed around 5 years ago and when we went back recently for another small job all connections were still absolutely solid. If anyone wants to use that earth terminal - tough ! :) I guess you're thinking each fly lead should have been in with...

It was all done with the end of my right thumb split and bleeding, bloody sore. Does anyone else get that from stripping loads of cables ?

Someone commented fairly recently that all pics of BG boards posted up are usually RAF and generally turn up in the 'Dodgy trade pics' thread. Here's a picture I just came across of one I did around 5 or 6 years ago - the old days when dual RCD and no SPD weren't considered naughty. :) Edit -...
