Read the OP post again, he says the other end of the micc goes via Henley blocks to the CU. So it must be after the meter else it would be free vend. In one of the pics you can just about see tails blue brown on floor level my guess is the feed the top of the iso from the meter. Also the pic...
You could test a length of cable which you can access end to end and take a reading just to see what reading you get. That's what I would do to satisfy me.
Done a car boot last weekend with blondie my other arf , sorted a few bits out had an old 100m drum of three core&earth 1mm, old colours about 70mts on it only wanted £25 .few people asked when I told them the price the look on their faces. Cheap if you ask me looking at flea bay prices.
In the Avent of fire, if the meter is burning, smoldering let's say due to tampering the cutout fuse can easily and quickly be pulled. Isolation basically. If the meters 20 meters away no point of isolation.
Hi, Im sure they are going to ask you what electrical experience you have, what you have done practically at college.
What have you been doing with this electrician as a volunteer.
Hopefully he has given you some hands on, just be honest and tell them dont try and bs, you will get caught out...
Talking about terminologies in the electrical industry it has changed quite a bit, CPC for earth conductor, distribution circuit for sub main, socket for coupler, RFC for ring main, that's just off the top of me head. However it's still jargon and any experienced sparkie will understand.
IMO is should go back to the C&G 236 days all done on practical assignments and coursework and written obviously, if a fail in any of these it was no pass.
I done NVQ for my gas portfolio etc it was easier.
