    City and guilds assignment HELP

I think you'll get a lot more help from the forums if you post up your answer, your thoughts, an explanation of said things and then people can help or give pointers on what you've done. There will be very few people will to just answer the question for you.

    Am2 safe isolation advice

I'm sure the very first safe isolation you perform has to be 100% correct other wise you cannot continue with the assessment. However don't quote me, but I think you may be over thinking it and you'll be fine.

    Intro and a few questions

First thing to do is get your self over to see the clerk of works over in your support squadron and let them know you're keen to get things done. Secondly make sure your troop staff know you want to go places and do things as soon as possible because if anything comes up they'll think of you...

    Testing and inspection on am2

Hello! When doing mine, I left the ring final circuit conductors disconnected after doing my continuity of ring final and tested the insulation resistance on that circuit alone. As for the 3 phase socket you should be able to check continuity all the way through. you are spot on with the...

    Cable that can't be removed

Okay, so bare with me here. Domestic is not my bag at all, and I'm not quite sure what the best course of action would be for this. So my father has asked me to take a look at the outside light for the back garden, he would like it changed to a new one as the old one is tired and worn and is...

I actually wonder what people get taught in college. Inspection and testing was drummed in to me. The sequence of tests and how to do them safely, what insurentments to use and why the tests are carried out. Anyone, working within the electrical industry with a few years under their belt should...

Mind gone blank in need of assistance

Apologies should have made it clearer. I noticed he posted up a few threads through the week asking about things in the AM2 and that he was going to be sitting it on Monday. It's not the end of the world to forget a thing or two especially under pressure of the clock and dealing with devices...

He is currently doing it as part of his AM2. Not because he does testing as a job.

You'll find them either on the front, or on the side, in a rectangular box. I think sometimes they are written on the side without the box. In a TP&N board you'll find they'll be either 10kVa or 16kVa (or at least mine where, I had a mix of newer and older ones when I did it).
