    I seem to remember the measuring gear is specific,with peak and graph data. I also think you can do three tests,and get three different readings :) This was SP switchgear,and solving was sometimes a mixture of calculating,and trial/error,usually SB fuses or current limiting devices.

    Hi,what is the vehicle? If it is a true signal wire,such as CanBus,at the switch gear,you could cause all sorts of issues. Using a cable which connects to the original lamp,you could switch a relay,or if of sufficient capacity,power your new component.

    Bahco 160 to 230mm hard wire side cutters,they are perfect for this,and have a slide spring,if needed. 2101G-160 is one version... I know for certain they can do this,as they have done,for me,for the last 40 years ;)

    OK,so the ignition relay and two fuses i remember,are on that diagram...identify and test both,and if the charge relay and wiring are ok,it should not be hard to find the culprit :)
