Might be worth checking if you can actually plug two in together, at the same time. I’m nearly sure you can’t as it’s either 230 or 110...I could be wrong here. Just some shaver sockets have a selector switch to go from 230/110...
Is this one of those “shot in the dark” faults or is it gonna be easy to fix like “shooting fish in a barrel” but don’t “jump the gun” or you might end up “shooting yourself in the foot”

Builders electrician??....I think the builder himself has done it.....look, he’s even cut bits off his string line to mark the cables.....even the cowboys have insulating tape!!
Not sure, although looking at the above picture, it appears they are designed to unscrew and rotate.
I would stay clear of those converter sockets, especially Clipsal brand. Every one I’ve ever encounted has been dodgy....either plugs are difficult to insert or the switches tend to fail...
I’ve used these before, as you can use standard double sockets...just make sure the socket fits the box as it can foul on the arrowed lugs...if you use the same brand it should be ok.
I always think of electricity as a sort of “flow and return” flow being the live and return the neutral, which is possibly why I’ve generally found plumbing to be a doddle! Particularly once you installed the pipes, they fill themselves with water, where as once conduit is installed, the cables...
