    Legalities surrounding lamp making

The finished product would still have to conform to safety standards. Look up CE declaration of conformity, the electrical equipment safety regulations 2016, BS EN 60598, BS EN 60335-1, and have a look here. Product safety law: compliance advice for manufacturers and importers -...

Advice on 'Cheaper' brand / for CU upgrades, PRS EICRs

Fusebox, lewden, and SBS trade sales will all give reliable low cost rcbo solutions. SBS being DP RCBOs. I have used all three brands and am happy with the quality for the price. 1591542604 Yes overload protection must be given the RCCBs. Hager switched to 100A versions in their dual boards...

Is this a decent price for a kitchen rewire?

I agree with the £1500 mark, and I'm nowhere near London, physically or financially.

    Sumer house -sub board Zs!?

You should see the section in BS7671 about RCD selectivity if you have 2 30mA RCD devices in line with each other.

Being listed with a scheme for PRS EICR will also list you on the electrical competent person website as such. This website is linked to on the govt page for landlord info surrounding these regs. Underground/buried connection

As far as I know the regs don't make any specific mention of screw connections being accessible. In fact 526.3 points out that a joint designed for burial need not be accessible. 1591438242 I know what you mean about the earthing springs. I have always wrapped them tight then tightly covered...

Napit offers EIS scheme to stroma members for £100+VAT

Personally my Stroma membership is up for renewal in August anyway so I will probably just renew with napit to save doing it after they ditch the stroma branding.

Napit offers EIS scheme to stroma members for £100+VAT

Yeah what a bargain. Unless like me you've already paid and been assessed by Stroma to be registered for EICR and now this is suddenly disregarded to force Stroma members to join the Napit branding at extra cost. No scheme membership is required for EICR not even under the new private rented...

With new laws/Regulations coming into affect for The rental market!!

As Wilko says, the requirements are to test using the 18th as the standard to which to inspect. No change to normal. The installation does not have to comply with every current regulation. I agree the legislation is badly worded, but nothing out of the ordinary there.

    6mm water bonding on PME

This thread is about work in a domestic dwelling installation and the guidance I mentioned also deals with this situation. I was trying to keep the advice relevant.

    6mm water bonding on PME

That's not the case going by the guidance endorsed by the IET, and they write the regs. I'll stick with that. 6mm is deemed adequate in any situation.

UK Best route to get part p

I need to become part p they all say. What actually become it ? I imagine them going into training centres and spinning cocoons crafted from papier mache made from approved documents in which they gestate. Once their cheque clears they emerge and display their bold new wings to the sun...
