    Self employed grant

If one were to claim the second grant and then subsequently be asked for proof of business being affected, how would one prove it ? Would year on year income comparisons be sufficient ?

    Screwdriver addict...

Well if you ever throw them away, throw them in an envelope addressed my way ? 1593777865 Not used it yet, but seem good. The really expensive ones are the new joker ratchet ended ones.

    Cable size to electric shower

If I were you I'd get an electrician in to have a look at the situation to best inform the customer. You seem to be stabbing in the dark without the knowledge necessary to diagnose a problem, perceived or not, especially before connecting a new shower up.

    New bush tool

Yeah they've lost my interest too now. £30 for the aluminium set too. Just less than a tenner each is what I was expecting. Ah well, plenty more tools on the wish list to cheer me up.

    Rcd Tripping On Dual Board

Well that's me educated for today. I thought RCD protection applied across section 714. I would definitely argue that domestic premises would include gardens though.

    Rcd Tripping On Dual Board

Surely then the special location for outside lighting would apply, which requires RCD protection ? ?

    Downlight suggestions

The Enlite ones get a good review. I've been using KSR for 5 years now and had no issues of a serious nature. In that time I've had less than 5 give up. The QR10 and QR5 are the current ones. They do a colour change one should you need it. Just picked up 10 today for my own house.

314.2 the failure of one circuit shall not affect others. See the reg for the exact wording.

People get ideas in their head and don't like to change.

    Coffee machine

Yes possibly. A standard DP switch has the benefit of being able to have a neon for use of staff but a rotary isolator enclosure can more easily accept a gland for the machine installer. The rotary one might be a bit more robust if you're sticking it in a cupboard. It's gonna get busy with stuff...

    Fake / Replica Powertools

I have heard of dead compatible batteries within months so it's obvious the quality isn't there. I have heard of small fires and ruptures too, although less often. I wouldn't buy knock off anything. My Milwaukee tools and batteries have performed for years so buying genuine has proved me well.

    Coffee machine

Anything DP and rated for the job would suffice. If it is to be local to the machine it may not need to be lockable.

    Rewire question

You book in with a scheme and pay your money. They come and look at your job and once registered you notify it ?

    Rewire question

If you really want to get registered you could use this job as your assessment job.
