Hi guys
I'm a bit frazzled by the wording on the main project.
So, we are told to keep the max circuit length down to 30m, tutors said that isnt physically possible so just try to keep it under 40m and they noted that the socket circuit was a bit of a mental one and that the 30m guidance set...
Able Skills are excellent, however they have several ways to do the course. If you are brand new, do the full time course. If you have relevant experience in another industry working with electricity and on building sites, maybe consider one of the home study courses.
If you are new, I wouldnt...
There are home study courses but you still have to attend to do all of the assessments, practicals and exams.
So no, you cant do an online course, because its a practical job. You can do some small elements of preparing your theory but it cant be done remotely as a course.

Sorry I'll clarify. I know there would be other tools, I was just curious if they allowed you to just bring your own tools, so you could use what you prefer or whether you just had to use what they provided

I've not had any issues yet...
Its weird because college taught me to use side cutters that have no notches and everyone I've met on the tools all uses side cutters, albeit most have notches for stripping, I've only seen people advise using dedicated strippers or installation pliers on forums or YouTube. Is it really that...
Hi guys
Have some trouble here.
So I'm doing terminations at work and using side cutters, usually on 1.5mm or 2.5mm. Seems to happen more with stranded.
I'm squeezing the cutters a bit and turning the side cutters around the wire and often the insulation bags up against the side cutters and...
Hi guys
I'm a recently qualified C&G Level 2. I have my 18th edition on the way in the next few weeks.
I have a CCNSG AND IPAF 3a/b card, happy to drive anything on the ticket.
I don't have a full collection of my own tools yet, but I've got the basics and I'm buying more all the time as a...
