Thank you for your valued enquiry.
Unfortunately you will not be able to utilise 2 Solar iBoost+ units on the same property. The two units would constantly battle for the excess PV. The unit does have 2 outputs, fro use with dual immersion tanks. However...
One house two immersion tanks either end of the building, house has a good size pv array and battery back up, customer wants iboost on both tanks, now i dont see any problems with this unless both ct clamps would be cancelling each other out? Anyone with any experience of fitting two iboost in...
Yes good point regarding rcd, the inverter will be next to the garage consumer unit so i cant see why id need rcd unless MI states it.
Why should it not be on the load side of an rcd in a dual rcd cu?
Hi guys/gals
Directing this question at you that have transitioned already from sparky to pv insatller. I have my first pv install after getting so many queries since the energy price rise and looking to get one under my belt. I want to go in properly and that it is being installed to a high...
I have fitted iboosts to single immersion circuits before but now have a job with two cylinders.
Isit just a case that once the first output is satisfied it will just move on to the next output?
Can you decide which output to boost on the iboost?
The second tank is about 20m ish away, i seem to...
Update.
Customer phone supplier and the supplier will not change to a payg standard meter. Seems harsh but they push big on smart meters now. I can see this unit eventually giving up the ghost and then the customer will be fitted with a smart meter imo.
Thanks for input
A customer has a pay as you go ec7 meter, the need for ec7 is no longer but they want to keep the pay as you go (wont be talked onto a DD) am i right in thinking they dont need to change the meter just inform there energy supplier that they want to go on standard tariff?
Thanks :)
Thanks lucien nice to hear a full and informative reply. The mechanics said there was smoke coming from the switch and the little transformer looks worse for wear, what would this transformer do?
Yes its a very old hydrolic ramp with no safety locks its really old,
Btw no valve to drop down
Picture attached where the two contacts pushed down on. Hope this is helpful to you and you are able to share your wisdom now?
Are you able to explain how this switch can change the direction of the motor alone?
No pic of cover. It was just an up and a down switch though. Thats why i was baffled. Like you said i was out of my depth but seems you dont have much more of a clue than me… 🙈
I agree i am on this one.
So can you eloborate on the many ways it may be reversed? However it can be done used to be done via this old switch? (If i can attach pic?)
