Is the refrence method really C? Or is that the one that allows you to skimp? Ridiculous not to run a 10mm t&e to any new cooker or shower in my opinion, i use very little 6mm t&e these days.

the box is to sit on the base of a normal street light columb. The pole has wifi and cameras up the columb and have been shoved in the post and is tight, extremely untidy and water/condensation has been getting in and causig the rcd to trip.

No there is just a standard meter at the moment, the house is old and used to run off a back boiler. The renovation was going to include a direct thermal store and 2x storage heaters. Hence why we need the ec7 metering installed!
Sorry yes the meter company and DNO commonly the same in this part of the world (scottish power) but different departments. Any one else heard suppliers not willing to change to ec7?

Yes i think totally confuse is more likely, i dont belive it is a risk as there will be a green smash glass internally and the door is manually locked during closed hours so i wont interface it into the fire alarm but may add a “refer to fire risk assesment” note stating the fra should decide.
