You have no voltage to the inverter do you know where the meter is that you read and you get paid from you need to see if it is on and that the display is active you i take it that the isolator with the red switch is switched on! as it seems that there is no power from the house fuse board to...
Hi all,
I have started looking into the minefield known as PLC's i have had some experiance with them however before i go much deeper has anyone come across a cheap setup with software that i can test and play with on the bench before i go getting to involved with them did not want to out...
First thing i would do is to check that the MCB supplying the inverter is switched on your only gettin that fault code during the day time when the panels are active the other to prove this point the electrical meter that SB Inverter supplys will be dead if it is digital.
So the best way to...
You will need to find out the resistance required by that panel there will be a torrerance as long as you are in that bracket it should be fine? I take it that its a conventional system not a bi wire
True however with orangefridge's lack of electrical skills i personally did not want to put him at risk as i have not long joined and only wanted to give out good advise, not that yours is inaccurate.
Well you know that the N is neutral so that's sorted then L - Live as in permanent and S/L is switch live so with a multi meter set to volts its fairly straight forward just find the permanent live which i would guess is the Brown Grey is Neutral and Black as the S/L Best to check it!
My thoughts were the live on the wrong bus bar or neutral in the wrong bar could well be causing this issue I have seen this before the biggest trouble is that the load is very minimal on the heating system.
Before I go any further can you tell me where the RCBO is in the DB is it next to the Main switch? i'm wondering if it has been positioned on the busbar which is controlled by the rcd the easiest way to determine this is the switch off the RCD and see if you still have power to the heating...
Have you tried running hotwater only without the central heating on and if so does the fault occur then?

Ok so i have been pondering over this and one thing that springs to mind is " where is the NEUTRAL connected from the rcbo " the FLy lead from the RCBO is it connected into one of...
ok firstly is this a combi boiler or a system boiler? have you got a big green water tank or white one? if you turn you hot tap on does the boiler fire up and give you hot water?, do you have solar panels and a Immersun?
ok so the main switch to the right pull it down till it locks into place and then push it up firmly and it should lock into place then re-set the MCB which is the other one that is down and you shoul be back up and running
Sounds like the RCD has Tripped locate the distribution board and re-set any switches that are down.... some types of RCD need to be re-set before they can be energised and this is one by pulling down the switch first then push it back up... before you do this unplug your toaster....... pictures...
