    Yes EICR see the original posts. Regs have been quoted to cover the situation. And even your own photo has shown equipment (like a light fitting) make up part of the installation. If I was a paying customer I would expect something to be flagged up for that. Code or not.

    If there is an internal fuse within the fitting that has blown c3. if it’s burnt/damaged and could still be live, it could be a fire risk so a c2.

    Would like to test the water, see if I can get a good price, or will just hold on to it. I currently use an issued one from my work. Bought it new in 2016 for a couple of jobs and haven’t used it since. Calibration will be out of date. This is still like new and has been stored in the house.

    From what I read into it: Trips the RCD then does IR when dead. Will only work on RCD circuits. Dillb. For continuity you could just calculate it from the Zs at the DB Would be handy in EICRs but maybe not for big commercial ones where not everying is RCD protected.

    You take R ref at the DB then switch it over to (R1+R2). All it does it take away Zs from the Z ref. Gives you (R1+R2) Maybe ok for EICRs but wouldn’t use it for new installations as that should be a dead test before the circuit is energised
