What is it called IR testing?

One has probably licensed one from the other. All my fibre splicers are Japanese, either sumitomo or fujikura. Can't say I've had a bad experience with anything that says 'Made in Japan' on the side

Just to add my own experience to give you food for thought. I worked for other people for around 8 years before making the jump to running my own company. I never had any intention of going alone until probably the last year. By which time I'd built up a considerable network of contacts. Most of...

Does a SPD need a dedicated MCB?

Just get some tin snips, cut out some more ways and solder on a longer busbar. (I pray that's not taken seriously)

    SSE 3-Phase Upgrade Gone Wrong!

My guess. Engineer arsed up the tails on the incomer of the isolator as can be seen. Then local site electrician closed the isolator for shits and pickles. And voila. 400v AC travelled near the speed of light towards the shutter motor with a mild hum and sizzling. Mmm bacon.

What is it called IR testing?

I think kewtech is a British brand. It does disable the auto if you switch between tests types on the 2nd dial, and forces you to reset back to manual before re-engaging auto. It's a nice little MFT tbh, I like it. Only niggle is the nulling of leads can be a pain to unlock and null again. 64dl...

What is it called IR testing?

It's the kewtech 65dl. You push and quarter turn the test button. I'd hung the leads over the left hand side of the strap and they zapped the back of my hand. I can 100% guarantee it zaps on auto 😂

What is it called IR testing?

Funnily enough I managed to zap my self today walking about after forgetting to turn auto off 😂

UK Is there a device or a way which will alarm us if a water pump has stopped working?

You could rig a float switch to an electronic valve on the intake that closes once set level is reached. Bit like those you find on the cistern in a boozer but close on condition. This would just mean you would start to flood your shower tray/bath as the water still needs to be stored somewhere.
