Maybe just my experiences are anecdotal but I've found that many BG RCDs out of spec while doing EICRs I carry a spare. Odd as most of their stuff is fine, fitted billions of their sockets etc, the grey inserts on steel is a nice look.

Is it possible to strip the t+e thus making it singles with no need for a join as such?
Crimps would be my preferred way to join it if must. But whatever you can fit into an end box seems bodgey.

How it ended up like that is anyone's guess. An Aircon fitter is what's going on. Maybe they should stick with stuffing glands?

Writing up a sizable EICR, one circuit is utilizing FP200 type cable (don't know the exact brand sorry I know they differ) for a 3 phase condenser, but the only ratings I can find for any softskin cables state single phase AC.
Is 3ph AC even permissable?

Found one a few years back - fuseholder on a switch spur burnt out, so clever clogs stuffed all the reds into one hole, leaving the neutral switched. Result - spur appears to remove power while 230v still present! What was it they say about a little knowledge?
