    IDEAL OR WAGO LEVER CONNECTORS

Any opinions as to which is best? I have tried both, and I think the Ideal connector levers are more secure than those on the small Wago 221 version. On the new small Wago 221 connectors, I have found the levers tend to lift easily.

    RCBO with Functional Earth Lead.

I have read somewhere, (but I can't locate the source), that because the RCBO's electronic control operates at a very slightly higher potential than earth, there is a very small leakage to earth through the functional earth lead. Is this correct or is my memory playing tricks?

    EARTH LEAKAGE CLAMP METER

Thanks. My thoughts were if buying a new tester it should be accurate. I won't need traceability to national standards since it won't be used to certify anything. Periodic sanity checks could be done on a known circuit resistor. Regards, Mike.

I am looking at buying an earth leakage clamp meter AMECaL ST-9810 (£59) or a Megger DCM305E (on offer at £194). The only use will be mainly domestic fault finding. Any opinions will be most welcome.
